MirraKote is another product from our Mirra range which is a high chrome mirror film lamination which offers an improved reflective finish on our traditional ReflectaKote. Of course, this silver film comes at a higher cost which is reflective of the high quality of the finished product. Mirra is the name and mirror is the finish. Printing over MirraKote requires the use of Foil/Vinyl, screen or UV inks we recommend you discuss with your ink supplier what’s best for you. For that added protection of your ink why not add gloss PlastaKote or KeyKote. MirraKote is ideal for prestige packaging, POS, marketing and DM pieces, book and magazine covers, or anywhere the impact of a mirror is desired.

The quality of the paper or board you select can have an impact on the finish of MirraKote feel free to discuss options with your Allkotes team. MirraKote is opaque so when planning your next job remember the film will lay down first followed by your printing. It’s a good idea to supply overs for us to set up on when running your sheets. Make note that MirraKote will be applied to the whole sheet.
DONT'S
Lighter weights of double-sided coated stocks can be susceptible to static issues after the MirraKote has been applied. This, in turn, can create feeding issues during the printing process. Its recommended stock weight above 170gsm or higher be used and if you need any further advice please contact your Allkotes team.
